Research-led. People-first. Intentionally made.
I design experiences that fit how people actually think — not how we assume they do.
I'm Vimal Sehgal, a UX Designer from Ambala, Haryana — 3rd year B.Des student at Chitkara University. I got into design because I was frustrated with things that didn't make sense. Still am, actually.
I spend most of my time talking to people, watching how they use things, and figuring out where the experience breaks. That part — the research, the patterns, the "ah, that's why they do that" moment — is what I find genuinely interesting about this work.
From garage service experiences to social platforms to rural access problems, I've worked across problems that matter to real people. Currently looking for internships and collaborations where I can do that kind of work seriously.
Designed a printable A4 collaborative workbook for Class 7–8 students in rural schools, covering team-building, decision-making, and problem-solving across 4 structured weeks.
Field research at local and OEM garages to uncover pain points in pricing transparency. Designed an omnichannel experience for booking and service tracking.
User interviews exploring barriers in social connection. Synthesised insights via personas and journey mapping into a phygital platform for interest-based interaction.
Usability testing on MyJio's recharge, SIM ordering, and broadband flows. Identified critical issues in plan discovery and proposed navigation improvements.
Research-first, always. I believe good design starts with understanding people — their context, goals, and frustrations.
Currently building toward being T-shaped: deep in research, broad across the rest.
Open to internships, collaborations, and conversations about design, research, and the weird space in between.
